Arrival by Plane

The Airport Berlin Brandenburg "Willy Brandt" (IATA code BER) is the central airport and is served by the major international airlines.

Getting from the Airport to Berlin city center by public transport:
BER has its own railway station directly below the terminal. It is located directly below Terminal 1, so you can transfer directly from the aircraft to the train (FEX, RE8) and S-Bahn (S9 every 20 minutes). Current timetables and tariff information can be found at Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg or Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe.

Please note:
For travelling from the airport to the city center, you need to purchase an
ABC-ticket (4,70€ one way).
When you register at the conference venue, you will receive a 3-day pass for public transportation in the center area (AB). Unfortunately it is not possible to provide it beforehand, as it is not available in digital form.

By taxi:
On arrival, you will certainly see many taxis at the airport exit. A trip from the Airport to Berlin city Center (Alexanderplatz) is approx. 50-55€.

Arrival by Train

From almost any major European city, you can reach Berlin with fast train connections. Berlin Central Station (Hbf) is the capital’s hub for all rail traffic into and out of the city. From there, the conference venue as well as listed hotels are easy to reach by public transport.

Public Transport in Berlin:
Berlin has a well-developed network of S-Bahn and U-Bahn trains, buses and trams. The offical website of Berlin offers more information about public transportation, fares and route networks.
