The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI), Prof. Ulrich Kelber, chairs the virtual meeting of the IWGDPT, better known as the “Berlin Group”. It is an international group of independent experts on data protection and modern technologies from various fields (science, non-governmental organisations, think tanks, data protection supervisory authorities, etc.). The focus is on novel technologies and services and their possible impacts on data protection of customers and other data subjects.
