The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI), Prof. Ulrich Kelber, participates in the 73rd meeting of the International Working Group on Data Protection in Technology (IWGDPT).

The IWGDPT is an independent expert group and is also known as the “Berlin Group” because of its place of establishment and long-standing meeting venue. The group will discuss the extent to which modern technologies can be designed and applied in a data protection-compliant manner in order to contribute to a better level of protection for data subjects, e.g. in the context of artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs).
