The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI) attends the “Global Privacy Summit”. This event organized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a US data protection organization in Washington DC, is the largest conference on data protection in the USA. The Federal Commissioner is primarily involved in discussions about ground-breaking future technologies and conditions for the secure transfer of personal data worldwide. In addition, he also conducts bilateral discussions with American and other international partners.
