From 23 to 25 June 2025, the BfDI is organizing the International Conference of Freedom of Information Commissioners in Berlin (ICIC). 

The ICIC is the global conference of supervisory authorities in the field of freedom of information. Civil society groups such as non-governmental organizations and media representatives will also take part in the event. The BfDI expects up to 200 international guests from 60 member states on the conference days. The conference languages are English, French and Spanish. The focus of the conference will be on environmental information law.
